Mission Statement

The Mission of the Central Oregon Track Club (COTC) is to provide junior and youth with the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing events, in a FUN atmosphere. Events covered will include sprinting, middle and long distance running, relays, long & high jump, throws, and hurdles. Stretching and conditioning games will be integrated each day. Safety and etiquette emphasized. The program will provide character development through junior and youth participation in the sport of track and field, as a result of which each young athlete can realize his/her full social, intellectual, and athletic potential and develop a strong sense of loyalty, commitment, and appreciation in the following focus areas: Personal Responsibility, Unity, Team Cohesiveness, Community Awareness and Good Sportsmanship. COTC will provide an avenue for athletes to compete in USATF, Junior Olympic and USA Junior Track & Field competitions on a State, Regional, National and International level.
